Haka Win Looks Ugly

The Bay of Plenty Haka group, called Te Whanau-a-Apanui, won the National Haka championships this weekend.

Hundreds, possibly thousands, of KIwis turned up to watch the event, where competing groups perform the Haka without an All Blacks game in site. Why did it turn ugly? Well it never looks pretty when you puff out your chest and stick your tongue out. So, can David Campbell, Balls Radio's NZ correspondent, perform the Haka. No, he says. What is Balls Radio?

Balls Radio is like talk radio, but for thinking people. Now a short daily occurrence, Phil Dobbie offers his opinions on what's happening, in the UK and overseas: politics, social policy, economics, science, religion. Yes, it's another, slightly overweight middle-aged white man telling the world how it should be. But there's nothing alt-right about Balls Radio. And we try and have fun along the way.
