Brian failed police test, because of his name

There are allegations that Thames Valley Police failed a candidate because they didn't like his name, Brian. Brian could probably sue, if it wasn't for the fact that he is a horse.

John Dobbie reports how police horses normally have slightly more dynamic names - like Zeus. But the owner refused to change the horse's name, arguing that its bad luck. So, was Brian failing the entrance exam the easiest way to save the police from having a horse called Brian?

We also hear about a lost Sherlock Holmes story, uncovered in an attic in Selkirk.

What is Balls Radio?

Balls Radio is like talk radio, but for thinking people. Now a short daily occurrence, Phil Dobbie offers his opinions on what's happening, in the UK and overseas: politics, social policy, economics, science, religion. Yes, it's another, slightly overweight middle-aged white man telling the world how it should be. But there's nothing alt-right about Balls Radio. And we try and have fun along the way.
