It's a diversion. Isn't Christine Milne right?

Christine Milne, the Greens leader, is taking a bit of a hammering on Facebook for her comments on Tony Abbott’s national security address.

She said, “We’ve got a Prime Minister who is so desperate that he's trying to press the terror button in order to shore up his own position. It won’t make us safer.

He’s fanning flames of fear, anxiety, difference and division, because it’s about the only thing that can distract from those same problems within his own party.

Real leadership should bring people together, not divide them”.

And the trolls are out to get her, hundreds of comments, most I’d say not at all supportive. And it seems like Tony Abbott could be winning a lot of favour with his go-hard-on-terrorists line.

Comments like this: "haven't all of those arrested lately for terrorism been the delightful bunch of immigrants that the Greens & Labor let into Australia unchecked?? You have to be one of the most hypocritical people breathing!!"

And "Milne what bubble do you live in! God help this country if you get anywhere near the controls! Unbelievable!"

But, at the risk of attracting the same trolls, isn’t she right?

What is Balls Radio?

Balls Radio is like talk radio, but for thinking people. Now a short daily occurrence, Phil Dobbie offers his opinions on what's happening, in the UK and overseas: politics, social policy, economics, science, religion. Yes, it's another, slightly overweight middle-aged white man telling the world how it should be. But there's nothing alt-right about Balls Radio. And we try and have fun along the way.
